For Women’s Golf Day, Makefield Highlands in conjunction with the New Jersey Golf Foundation
is grateful for the continued donations and support of Women Golfers Give Back(WGGB) for our
girl golfers. For the last 7 years, WGGB has donated roughly $30,000 dollars to help our jr.
female golfers.

Through the partnership, there has been an ongoing effort to increase accessibility to quality
training by way of golf programs, some specifically geared toward girls alone, of young golfers.
In the past, scholarships were given, equipment was enhanced, and events and opportunities
were offered through the years. More recently, there has been a focus on getting our girls out
on the course. Targeting course access with a goal of creating a younger, girl golfer who is
more confident navigating the world of golf has been on the forefront lately. By acclimating girls
to becoming cognizant of pace of play, on-course etiquette, and all that is encompassed within a
round of golf, they are normalizing the potentially anxiety inducing phases. As a result, these
girls will log more rounds, be more mindful of their surroundings, and become life-long players
through womanhood and beyond.

We continue to work with our girls to improve the quality of their golf. Last year, two girls from
the program were able to land starting spots on their varsity teams. Hopefully, with the new
wave of younger girls, and through our new mentoring program, we can create relationships
among our teens and pre-teens that can foster continued improvement of quality and enhanced
awareness about the game and its many facets. For this Women’s Golf Day, all of those
impacted through the generous donations of WGGB at Makefield Highlands and the New Jersey
Golf Foundation are thankful for all that the organization has done to grow the game for our
future women of golf.
